Mapping Defibrillator locations in County Fermanagh

An AED should be available wherever medical treatment is more than 5 minutes away. Due to the rural nature of County Fermanagh, emergency services can take up to 10-30 minutes to attend remote locations, this can mean that cardiac arrest victims have a very small chance at survival.

The Killyfole and District Development Assocation working along side the Erne East Community Partnership, are attempting to map the locations of AED within County Fermanagh.  This map is currently a work in progress and errors/ommisons are very common.  Please help us improve the map by telling us about locations, access and where exactly the devices are kept.  You can use the Contact Us link on the left hand side of this page to get in touch.  The following link shows the current data on a map of County Fermanagh.

Virtual Walk around Killyfole Lough

With the good weather lasting well into October, the Killyfole and District Development Association have created a virtual tour of the Lough side path.  The sequence was taken on the 29th October and shows the trees in their autumn colours. To view the virtual tour, just click on the image below and then when the player loads, click the play button.

We hope to repeat the process in the summer time, so watch this space biglaugh.png

Mystery Man at Killyfole Lough Shore walk

Over this past weekend there have been reports of a mystery man seen at Killyfole Lough. But where did he come from and who is the carving?  Some say its Saint Patrick keeping a watchful eye over the bridge.  Who do you think it is?
